A random piano piece I’m currently tidying up. Not so sure of the ending, but damn the rest of it is awesome.

For those of you who couldn’t make it to classical performance forum, here is a recording of a rehearsal. Melanie is an AMAZING flautist, this was our first rehearsal together and the only mistake she made was playing a normal trill instead of a timbral trill. I realise it’s a bit jumpy - the video time was 5:03 and the tumblr limit is 5:00, so I cut out some pauses. Enjoy.

One of the most aggressive looking (and sounding) pieces of music I’ve ever written currently in the making. Loving it.

The first page of my collage piece (for string quartet) “Clip’d”. The name is an homage to the interwebs, which I adore. Comments welcome.

A couple of themes from my ‘Cello Prelude. Rather fun to play.

Incidentally, the cross noteheads represent left hand pizzicato.

Patti Smith began her career as a “street poet”; whether to italicise this to indicate it is actually something of worth or to use sarcastic quote marks was a tough decision.
— A sample from my Genmus notes. Sweet jesus that subject sucked balls.

Flautists - Does this look like a good way to notate Embouchure angle?
