Why I Won't be Protesting at UCD Today
I’ve garnered more criticism than I thought I would for this decision, so I thought I would attempt to coherently express my position here to avoid fumbling about for words when people ask me in person. People have confused my decision not to protest with not supporting the protesters’ cause. On the contrary, I was appalled by the brutality exhibited by the police on Friday....

Many people have asked me how I “have all these ideas” in my head. I actually don’t. In actuality, I just video myself being weird with the piano and shit just happens. Enjoy.

For those of you who couldn’t make it to classical performance forum, here is a recording of a rehearsal. Melanie is an AMAZING flautist, this was our first rehearsal together and the only mistake she made was playing a normal trill instead of a timbral trill. I realise it’s a bit jumpy - the video time was 5:03 and the tumblr limit is 5:00, so I cut out some pauses. Enjoy.

My Version of Abbott's Speech
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a night for utter distress at our political choice as a country. This has been an awful night for the australian people, and I would like to kick the australian people in the cock for whom they voted. The “crowd” is anything but enthusiastic. I hate you all for your apathy. I have to say to you that I feel utterly disgusted as I think of the...

Rather like my good friend @Ploogy, I will be undertaking the “30 Day Challenge” that’s been floating around tumblr for a while now. Also, quite like him, I will try and do 3 posts every 3 days, rather than one a day - I’m busy dammit (he says, sitting in his pyjamas at 1:00. Ahhhh uni holidays, where dignity ceases to exist). The full list is after the jump. Day 01- A...

My second piece for children; and yes, I realise it’s the first one I’ve uploaded. In any case, I like this one more. The notes themselves aren’t that hard - there are only two strictly different “gestures” within the piece - even the change in tonality only shifts the original hand positions up or down; their overall shape is maintained. However, the expression is...
